The Atlantic: How to Make a Hit Song About Ebola


Nearly half the population of Liberia is under age 18.  Approximately 40% of Liberians can't read.  These are daunting barriers to educating citizens against the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.  As this piece from The Atlantic explains, the Liberian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, in collaboration with HOT FM 107.9 Liberia and UNICEF, is working with local musicians to write and produce songs about Ebola prevention for popular television and radio airplay.
